HEPA 50250 Honeywell Purifier

honeywell 50250 HEPA air purifier

This purifier is so damn loud. It was recently reviewed at this video: Honeywell 50250 and the reviewer showed how loud this purifier was on the highest setting.

I still don’t mind that this purifier is really loud for the following reasons:

  1. Its cheap – you can usually pick it for less than $200
  2. It does clean a lot of air
  3. It has HEPA so is 99.97% efficient at removing air bigger than 0.3 microns
  4. It comes with Honeywell Lifetime HEPA filters that you can clean with a normal vacuum cleaner!
  5. It look attractive

If you want to see how loud this unit is then i recommend that you watch the video before you purchase.

Next week we will be showing you another video review of another budget air purifier. However it’s a secret so don’t tell anyone ;)

How to Combat Indoor Air Pollution Using Plants

You think of your home as a haven from the smoggy, exhaust-filled outside world. But your home isn't as pristine as you might think. There's a good chance that the air inside your "haven" is contaminated with everything from asbestos and pesticides to detergent fumes, carpet fibers, mold, and tobacco smoke.

The worst part? Prolonged exposure to these toxins can cause serious health problems like asthma, humidifier fever, and Legionnaires' disease. One way to fight this pollution is to fill your home with air-cleaning plants.

In a NASA study, scientists found that "houseplants can purify and revitalize air in our homes and offices, protecting us from the negative effects of such common toxins as ammonia, formaldehyde, and benzene."

Plants absorb airborne toxins through their leaves, effectively keeping them away from our noses and lungs. Large-leaved plants are best at reducing pollutants in the air, and have the added benefit of increasing humidity levels (which can help respiratory conditions and allergies).

According to a recent issue of Organic Gardening, the 10 plants best at cleansing the air are: areca palm, red palm, dwarf date palm, Boston fern, pothos, English ivy, Australian sword fern, peace lily, rubber plant, and weeping fig.

For best results, OG advises that you set up two or three plants in each room, making sure each one has plenty of space to allow for prime air circulation.

For more ways to combat indoor air pollution, check out the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency website at http://www.epa.gov/iaq.

Portable Air Purifiers Reviews

Now there is all this talk about portable air purifier as opposed to full property purifiers yet just what are portable air purifiers?

Portable  purifiers/purifiers usually are those that could be transferred to virtually any part of the house. What this means is that you could clean the room inside your living space in the day time and then plug it in inside your bedroom during the night time.

portable_air_cleaner
I freaking really like lightweight air cleaners as i think they're a lot much better when compared to any HVAC purifier.
Here are five reasons why I really like portable purifiers:

1. The Cheaper portable gadgets can still come in handy
Having a cheaper portable air purifier can actually do a good job. If you've got a little box bedroom that simply needs the airborne debris getting rid of once in awhile then it doesn't sound right that you should spend $1000 for a whole place air air purifier that most likely will not even clean this specific room. In comparison four hundred dollars spent on a full house cleaner will simply blow airborne debris all over your property.

Two. It is possible to transfer a portable air purifier.
If you reside in leased housing or move house frequently then it is possible for you to take your current air purifier along with you. I mean an entire home air purifier might add slightly on to the value of your property but it will be absolutely nothing near the amount you spent on set up and machines. There was actually an elderly husband and wife who explained to me they take their portable purifiers with them on holiday!

3. Absolutely no Instalment Expenditures!
Anyone who uses a washing machine can quickly use any portable air purifier. You should have Five years training as a Air conditioning expert if you want to easily install a total house air clean-up system or at least pay out for one at $50 an hour to do it for you. Often a total house purifier will demand that your vent system together with furnace be improved to get full advantage.

4. Much more productive than HVAC products
A excellent quality purifier like the Alen 350 or Iqair healthpro can put to shame just about any whole residence purifier in any dust removing experiment. Don't just believe me when my hubby and I say it - Go understand all the review articles and take a look at the publicly published test results.

5. Much more Value For Money
To obtain a total house air purifier which will work you should devote within the range of at least $1500 .My spouse and I have been around in buildings that simply have a Eight hundred dollar portable purifier and the air is cleaner than a house hold using a $3000 HVAC air refinement system. You will also have the capacity to taking your new purifier with you once you go to a new house.

Feel free to read more portable air purifiers reviews at our sister blog and in other news its sad that this tribal voice has been lost to time.

Air Purifier Reviews - Video

Its taken a fair amount of time but i have finally now released a video - air purifier review.

In this video i tried to give newcomers a few titbits of information to help them on their quest of finding a new air purifier.  I spoke about how most air particles are sized smaller than 1 micron and you need to go for a purifier that has a 97% effectiveness at removing particles bigger than 0.3 microns.

I detailed some tables that showed reviews and test results for a range of different air purifiers. This image is used to show that some air purifiers are just not worth investing any time in such as the lower range Oreck and Sharper Image purifiers.

The top table gave people an idea of some of the top portable air purifiers on the market today. I did not want to push a certain purifier on to people as i know that it takes time and some thought to find the right purifier for your needs. I just felt that people should start their research journey by knowing a basic overview of the range of purifiers available.

This is my first ever video on Youtube so i think i made quite a few mistakes that will be sorted out in future releases. I need to remember to make my bed and also not make the videos so long.

When the next video comes out, i will tell you about it here and i hope it will be better. Please feel free to rate the video and leave a comment – it would make my day.

Ionic Pro Air Purifier – Don’t Come Near

A purifier that can clean 500ft of air designed for under a hundred dollars does sound great doesn't it? This is almost certainly the key reason why the Ionic Pro air purifier is among the most popular affordable air purifiers available on the internet (and the $100,000's spent upon marketing.)

ionic_pro_air_purifier

I will show you some good points before I outline the reasons why you should keep this purifier at a distance:

1. Style

I’ll choose to be truthful and say that it does appear to be a more highly-priced air purifier. A few of these types of towers in your room might even be able to attract the girls ;) Clearly money & time has gone in to the overall design of these purifiers.

2. Cost-effective

Family dinner inside a low-cost restaurant will , in most cases , cost a lot more than one hundred dollars thus this purifier is within everyone's price range

The Ionic Pro is marketed the same as the Sharper Image purifiers with cheesy infomercials and dubious claims of effectiveness. This organization utilizes flashy advertising and marketing as well as dubious statements to dispatch cheap devices en masse.

If you go shopping in Wal-Mart then the Ionic range of air purifiers are usually the shops bestselling air purifiers.

3. Absolutely no Replacement Filters

The Ionic Pro functions by using ionizer technologies therefore won't have to purchase replacement filter systems which will keep working expenses lower.. On the other hand you'll still have to clean down the ionizer discs every three-5 days.

Therefore, just what is incorrect with the Ionic Pro?

The primary problem with the Ionic pro is its model is founded on the now now longer made Sharper Image - Ionic breeze air purifier.

When the Ionic Breeze purifier was released it had been met by severe criticism from the whole air cleaner review community. The Ionic Pro is 40% less expensive in comparison with the Breeze air cleaner and has a number of design and style improvements however the purification device is nearly the same.

We accept that some people will want to look for a affordable air purifier but after my analysis i think that there's loads more affordable purifiers that work much better compared to the Ionic Pro.

Exactly how did the Ionic Pro Function on Lab tests?

As with every single review which we conduct at air-purifier-reviewsite.com lets first examine the test final results accessible:

At Air-Purifier-America.com they tested on the slightly older ionic breeze however i do believe the actual outcome can be comparable:

ionic_pro_test_purifier_america

The tests indicate that the Ionic Breeze air purifier came along at the bottom level of the final results and also the air purifiers preceding aren't $500 units. The Honeywell hfd-120 sells on Amazon website with the identical selling price as the Ionic Pro Air cleaner (when bought from the organization internet site - Amazon offers it for $50 fewer

Effective Cleaning Potential?

Looking at the Ionic Pro website we observed this particular information:

ionic_pro_features

These people inform you the fact that this product can trap contaminants as small as 1 micron! Which sounds truly small but lets first check out the following diagram which displays the relative measurements of airborne contaminants:

HEPA_Filter_Micron_Chart

I commonly tell individuals looking to buy a purifier to obtain a device that's competent with a minimum of 99.7% effectiveness at taking away contaminants greater than .3 microns. When I meet with allergy symptom sufferers I suggest them to locate a purifier that can deal with a minimum of 95% of contaminants bigger than .03 microns.

Using the diagram you can easily notice how the Ionic Pro air purifier is not able to block most of:

  1. Wood and cigarette fumes
  2. Residential dust
  3. Microbes
  4. Dander
  5. Insecticide fibres
  6. Fumes
The Ionic pro air purifier is unable to blog any sort of virus

I consider its a bit cheeky for Ionic to inform consumers that their air cleaner will stop smoke and dust while the machine will only be capable of stopping the minority of huge cigarette smoke and dust contaminants.

Oh No You shouldn't Supply Us Ozone

The leading issue that experts had about the Ionic Breezer purifier had been about the quantity of ozone produced. Ozone works by latching on to odour triggering particles and removing them. However Ozone is really a poisonous gas and not some thing you would like to always be pumping straight into your home. Fortunately the Ionic Pro air purifier releases a smaller amount ozone as compared to the Ionic breeze (48 ppb) however nonetheless lets out 33 ppb. In my opinion, any kind of release of ozone is simply too much!

Final result

If your looking for a low cost appliance to clean up your air then make sure you do not select the Ionic Pro purifier. There are many cheap air purifiers which do actually clean the air and don't pollute your home with poisonous ozone.

The challenge With Using A Home Air Cleaners

Home air cleaners perform by removing pollutants from the air  as it moves thru your home heating system furnace or ac device.
The plans underneath shows the way this particular home cleaner system works:

home_air_cleaner

We just tend to assume that home air cleaners works amazingly. You're advised that you you need only one system which often costs between $ five hundred- $1000, that does seem inexpensive to get a entire home filled with fresh air! Promotional advertising material enlighten us that these kinds of devices should very clean the air flow in all the rooms of one's house easily.

Sadly much like anything else in this world the home air cleaner isn't as effective as they tell you within the advertising material.

Here are 10 explanations why We would certainly not recommend you buy a house air cleaner:

1. Involve High-priced Installation

Home Air Purifiers necessitate you to pay some sort of HVAC expert to accommodate the machine. This will cost an individual a tremendous amount. In comparison, any body that use a  standard gadget can certainly setup a portable air cleanser. In case you reside in a worn house then you will have to pay  individuals to tidy your own vent area or even swap your current furnace.

2. Efficacy will be far less than portable air cleaners

You shouldn't just simply just believe me if just say it. These diagrams assess a  range of home air cleaner vs . portable air cleaners:

Home Air Cleaner Evaluations:

home air cleaner test results

The following choice of house air purifiers shows that even the most effective air purifier: The Trane CleanEffects and The Aprilaire 5000 only eliminate just more than 90% of dust sized .3 microns.

Portable Air cleaners Rankings:

portable_air_purifier_rating

This particular collection of portable air cleaners examined illustrates to us all that even the Seventh worst type of air purifier at taking away allergens nevertheless obtained a removal of over 98% for particles measured at .3 microns.

If you are afflicted by allergic reactions then leaving behind possibly even 10% of things that trigger allergies within the air will lead to problems. We usually highly recommend that people with  allergies to go for an air cleaner that has the capacity to remove at the least 95% of contaminants greater than .03 microns that is actually less space-consuming than a virus. The particular Healthpro plus is one air purifier that will be able to really work at this level plus we tend to recommend you go look at our most recent review.

Read more information at the EPA.gov

3. The Design associated with Home Air Cleaners Is Not Right

Air like a man is likely to continually go for the way of least resistance.  A Heating system will pull in cooler air and also force out hot air. Warm air will therefore go up to find the shortest way out of the house, that's normally by means of the reception area and up your stairs towards the roof. The issue is that this warm air will keep to a route that wont go to every area of the property. Many of us feel this when we sense a draft and this is why cleaning this kind of warm air is going to be ineffective when you want to clean the entire house.

hot_air_Rises_cold_air_falls

As the trail of warm air flow moves through the house, locations at the rear of obstacles plus in the corners will not be given new air and so allergens and particles can increase.

When compared to a portable bedroom air cleaner that are going to utilize pressure adjustment and electric powered fans in order to draw air flow out of every area of a room.

Why you ought to steer clear of Bionaire air purifiers

Bionaire air purifiers a while ago managed to get into the news when they utilised numerous bad digital chips that were included within the collection of BAP1300 air cleaners.

bionaire_air_purifier

Right now this can be a perfect illustration showing how occasionally evaluations from Consumer Reports as well as AHAM's CADR score could possibly get it incredibly wrong. The BAP1300 was able to get a CADR score of 315 and also was supposedly capable of cleaning a space sized 488 square feet.

On Air-purifier-reviewsite.com we constantly indicate to our users to never count on just one single review (this possibly includes our very own web-site.) The world wide web has now given us unprecedented use of much more info as well as evaluations than ever before. For those who had followed our purchasing guidance you'll find the following results for this certain Bionaire air purifier:

1. The users of Amazon.com gave the purifier a massive 2 and a half stars.

image

2. Shopping.com gave the unit an average of 1 and a half stars.

image

3. Epinions.com provided this purifier score of 1 and a half stars.

image

The issue using the evaluations at Consumerreports.org is always that they only analyze the air purifier for a small period. The issue using the Bionaire air purifier seemed to be the fact that faulty electronic digital control motherboards broke soon after numerous days. Please do not get me wrong We truly regard ConsumerReports.org but i don’t utilize it solely to decide on a new air purifier.

Regrettably a lot of buyers did elect to continue with the advice of ConsumerReports.org and purchased the Bionaire BAP1300 plus experienced the outcomes. Several shoppers complained of machine ceased operating following just Three days and even as long as a month. I cannot envision something much more irritating than an air purifier simply failing to operate following such a brief amount of time. The most detrimental point is that this Bionaire appeared to be in fact not bad at air cleansing though the durability has been the worst we have ever heard of.

The worst factor has been that individuals needed to pay out the shipping and delivery charges to give machine back to Bionaire which usually for some cost more than $100. In future constantly attempt to get your air purifier originating from a store which will change or discount faulty products without making you pay the actual shipping and delivery expenses.

Thankfully the Bap1300 has become discontinued but all of us should all bear in mind exactly what happened with this particular purifier so that we all really don't make the same mistakes in the future. Remember to verify a minimum of 6 different review sources before making the final purchasing decision.

Should you use an Allergy Air Purifier?

Almost everyone are going to encounter air purifiers as another route to greatly reduce his or her allergic conditions. Air Purifiers are used for any particular allergy like dust mite, plant pollen as well as cat dander. The particular technology behind an allergy air purifier is that they take out the things that trigger allergies from the air and therefore the patient no longer has any allergic response.

allergy-air-purifier

This sounds like a magic pill for allergy patients yet most air purifiers could really make their allergy symptom rather more serious.

My husband and i regularly invest time answering queries in Yahoo answers and very often men and women will ask why his or her air purifier is in fact making his or her allergy worse. One particular young female purchased an ionizer air purifier and shared with all of us the way it made the girl's allergy symptoms rather more serious for the subsequent 6 months. It had been only when this purifier smashed that the woman's allergic reactions got better.

ionic-yahoo-answers

These days the situation with many ionizer air purifiers is actually that they are going to stir up the particular dust/pollen/pet dander within your family room and also draw it out of the areas it has been hiding. The particular Ionization process will charge the allergen dust and also cause them to become heavier. However if the actual air purifier provides limited ability regarding filtering the particular things that trigger allergies then the difficulty has simply been made even worse. Things that trigger allergies that happen to be caught within your carpet or maybe lurking behind objects does not cause as much troubles as the things that trigger allergies within the air. That it is exactly why most of us even with no allergen hypersensitivity commence sneezing immediately after we have been dusting our bedrooms.

smog-city

Yet another problem with utilizing an air purifier intended for allergies is that some of the inexpensive ionizer based models in fact produce ozone which will trigger allergic reactions within some folk. In 1 situation – The ionic breeze air cleanser created just as much ozone as the volume uncovered for the period of high smog season inside downtown LA! Any kind of air purifier which makes any kind of ozone ought to be overlooked by an individual looking to get rid of allergens in the surroundings.

It may seem like i'm telling people that air purifiers are usually ineffective for allergy symptoms but I'm not. Actually i helped to reduce my signs and symptoms due to my personal dust mite allergy symptom by utilizing a good air purifier. But it really took me a variety of models as well as lots of $$ to get one which actually worked. Well , i have put together a list of items to look for when you need a strong allergy air purifier:

One. Absolutely no Ozone Creation – take advice from independent results to find out how much ozone might be developed

2. Requirements to be able to deal with a room measured no less than Five hundred square ft – but more effective over a A thousand feet.

Three. Requirements to have the ability to eliminate 99.7% of allergens greater than .3 microns. In many instances this will likely need a true HEPA filter. Once again check third party results to see how it works both out of the box and immediately after 6 months.

4. Generally pick out an air purifier that incorporates a pre-filter. Pre Filtration halt large contaminants like dust, pet hair and basic grime. Having a pre-filter it should mean that you won’t have to purchase as many costly replacement HEPA filters.

Five. Look for any air purifier with a muted snooze mode since you will want to keep the equipment working whilst you sleep.

Air Purifier Save School Children From Bats

070820-vampire-bats_big

Bats have been terrorising kids for the last 10 years in a high school in Austin, Texas. Reportedly the bats where attacking children and their waste matter was causing a health problem.

The bats became an annoyance when the school opened over 10 years ago. The roof allows for the bats to live there and gives them the ability to breed. The whole of the arts section of the school is said to be infested with the creatures.

Now the school has taken the precaution of moving three classes to another part of the school. Air purifiers have been installed to remove the health problems related to the bat droppings.

It’s hope that some day the bats will choose to leave Atkins High School but until that that day the children will have to just keep their distance.

WalMart Air Purifier Are Useless – 3 Reasons

Your shopping in walmart and you see an air purifier on special for less than $80! Stop! Don’t bother this is a total waste of money and i will tell you why.

walmart

WalMart works by selling cheap products en masse. Stack them high and sell em cheap works well for tinned tomatoes or cheap towels but is useless when it comes to important technology such as air purifiers.

When you check WalMart for an air purifier most of the stock is less than $150. Cheap in the world of purifiers meant that they will not provide a solution to your needs.

Would you buy a central heating boiler for less than $100 or what about an alarm system for your house? Some jobs just require you to spend more so that you can find the right solution.

It would be great if you could clean your the air of your whole house for less than $150 but this concept is just marketing hype to take your money.

Here are 3 of the top reasons for not shopping at Walmart for you air purifier.

1. Be Wary About Sharper Image

sharper-image-closing

Sharper image have been known to create excessive levels of ozone with their range of ionic breeze air purifiers.

Now their range is not deadly but its not great either. A sharper image purifier has limited range (less than 250 square feet) and only uses ionizer technology.

There has also be recent news that Sharper Image might be going bust as they have all ready moved out of Europe.

Read the following to learn more:

http://allergyclean.com/news/5112006.htm

http://www.livescience.com/technology/060509_air_purifiers.html

http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=429459

2. Only Cleans 10% of Your Air

HEPA_Filter_Micron_Chart

Right its true that cheap purifiers do remove some particles from your air. However they can only remove particles that are bigger than 0.3 microns. Often the adverts will shout about 97% removal of particles bigger than 0.3 microns which sounds great until you do some research. Did you know than 90% of air based particles are bigger than 0.3 microns? So your cheap purifier is only cleaning 10% of your air.

3. Great if you got a sealed room

david-blaine-sealed-coffin

Most people opt for a cheaper purifier because they only need it for their bedroom. As most Wal-Mart purifiers state that they can work in rooms less than 250 feet this is seen as the perfect solution.

However the air from the rest of your house will enter your room and your purifier will have to deal with it. Any purifier that can deal not deal with at least 1000 feet is useless.

300a ionic air purifier reviews

We managed to get our hand on a working version of the 300a Ionic air purifier and we where blown away.

300a ionic air purifier

The main things that we loved about this purifier was:

  • Was great at removing the smell of smoke
  • Made our house breathable for a heavy pollen allergy sufferer
  • Looks like a speaker so fits into our decor perfectly
  • Uses ozone which works quietly and without the need to constantly replace filters.
  • Is good value for money as its costs only $179.

We would love if the 300a ionic air purifier could be a bit smaller but that's just a slight problem. If you need a purifier that will be able to easily remove the smell of smoke and also deal with dirt and pollen then the ionic 300a is the perfect solution. I have already decided on buying one of these for my mothers house as it really stinks of tobacco smoke.

11 Air Purifier Gadgets

The team at Air purifier Review site have gone and put together a list of the most ridiculous air purifier gadgets on the market today. I have always thought that these air purifier that you see on the shopping channel 24/7 are totally useless and such a waste of money.

Of all the 11 useless purifiers,  i have to say that the dog purifier has to be at the top of my personal list. This dog purifier even has the ability to spray you doggy in scent so it smells like perfume. My dog would end up biting someone if you ever managed to put this strange machine around its neck.

Check out this strange image of pet purifier gadget:

Air-purifier-for-doggy-and-cat

I actually quite liked the cat litter purifier that they talked about. It will remove the scent of your cat poo and that is always a good thing in my opinion. I know its not a very popular opinion but i really hate the smell of cats as they make me retch! Any gadget that will help to remove this stench is good in my humble opinion. I just wish that more of my cat owning friends would get it. Maybe i might get them one for Christmas!

Check out this cat stench reducing invention!

Air Purifier for your Pet

Air-purifier-for-doggy-and-cat

Wow – finally your dog does not have to suffer from the smell of dirty air. I mean come on! Does your dog really need its air purified? I mean my dog eats its own poo, i doubt any purifier will be able to make that smell any better. I wonder if this will affect dogs sniffing each others bottoms? I know that dogs use smell a lot more than us humans and i worry that this unit from UxSight comes with an air freshener. It will spray a nice scent into fidos face so he won’t have to deal with the smells of the modern world.

This has to be the most ludicrous air purifiers on the market.. but it might make a good humorous gift. I would stick to buying a normal air purifier and save your $20 for a bone for your pet dog.

5 Types of Air Purifiers Reviewed

It's now common to find air purifiers in both the workplace and home. Sufferers of asthma and allergies now use them to make the air easier to breath. Due to the sheer amount of different technologies it can be confusing when you decide to buy one.

air-purifier-rating

We reviewed the most popular air purifier technologies so you can find the purifier that is perfect for your household.

Air purifiers work by removing pollutants from the air inside a building. Here are the 5 most popular air purifier technologies:

1. UVGI - or Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation works by killing germs or bacteria using light wave radiation. UV are not the most efficient as removing bacteria and mold will require excessive amount of UV radiation before they are destroyed.

2. HEPA air purifier technology (High Efficiency Particulate Air) uses filters to trap pollutants with an efficiency of 99% of all 0.3micrometer particles blocked as well as blocking other tiny particles. HEPA air purifiers work best when they are in a room that air is unable to circulate. HEPA filters work best in industrial setting where airtight rooms exist, however this is not the case in the average home.

3. Activated carbon purifier works by using carbon to absorb pollutants at a microscopic level. Efficiency with carbon filters is not perfect as the adsorption rate slows down and eventually stops when the carbon reaches an equilibrium with the surrounding atmosphere. When the carbon reaches equilibrium then pollutants will not be removed and in some cases can be released back in to the air.

4. Ionization purifiers do not use a paper or plastic filter like those seen in HEPA machines. Ionic purifiers use ions to charge the surrounding particles and then use an opposite charge plate to remove these pollutants from the air. The noise from Ionizer air purifiers is a lot less when compared to HEPA purifiers. If you need to remove very small particles then Ionic are the perfect choice but are not so good at removing smells or bacteria.

5. Photo-catalytic Oxidation is a new technology which might be able to provide large levels of purification using very small amounts of energy. The problem with PCO is that they can't be used in homes as they are still not good at removing pollutants created during the purification process.

Once you have read our reviews of the top 5 technologies we hope that you will find it easy to choose which technology is right for you.

Air Purifier Reviews

In order the make the most out of your purchase it’s worth reading an air purifier review site. However reviews can be tricky to use as many people have different reasons for buying a air purifier.

Air-Purifier-Reviews

The following are the main reasons for buying a Purifier:

1. Asthma

Using an air purifier to treat asthma has shown to have many benefits.  Asthma is caused by the irritation of the lungs by particles such as dust mites, pollen and particles from pollution.  Depending on what the cause of the asthma, purifiers can help to remove any particles from the air.

One of the main benefits of an air purifier over other forms of treatment is the user just has to switch it on and forget about it. A asthma sufferer should look at reviews that highlight purifiers that are specially aimed at removing the cause of their illness.

2. Pollen – Hay fever

Like asthma suffers, people with hay fever need to remove pollen from the air. Pollen causes these people to have an allergic reaction. Hay fever sufferers should look out for reviews that highlight the pollen removing properties of a purifier.

Technology review:

Once you know what you need from a air purifier, it’s time to look at what technology is best.  The main purifier technology is HEPA, Ionizing and UV. HEPA works by using a polymer/paper filter to physically stop pollutant particles from passing through. When reading reviews for HEPA purifiers its worth checking how much air they can deal with in an hour. Larger rooms will obviously require a unit with a large air intake whilst a bedroom unit can be smaller. The downside of a HEPA unit is that the filters need changing and can be expensive. Makes sure that you find out how much each filter costs and how often they need changing.

Ionization air purifiers are cheaper in the long run but you still need to compare prices before making any purchase.
